TALKS

I really enjoy lecturing and presenting and have been a lecturer on the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union lecture circuit for over 15 years, this has included visiting local camera clubs in the north west region. I have also lectured to the Royal Photographic Society North West Monochrome Group. In addition to my personal photography, I also undertake talks about the Warrington Photographic Society lantern slide collection, these are also listed in the LCPU and PAGB handbooks.

BANGKOK IN BLACK AND WHITE

This lecture is 'a day in the life of Bangkok' and takes you to some of the back streets and non-tourist areas of this amazing city. The images were all taken on film from 1997 to 2004 and were processed and printed in the darkroom. The original lecture was a print lecture. I have now brought this lecture up to date with all the images now scanned and re-processed digitally. I have also added some more images from both slides, colour negative and digital images from 2015.

The digital lecture is now available for booking, please use the contact page. The lecture will also be available via the PAGB and LCPU lecture system.

THAILAND IN BLACK AND WHITE

This lecture was originally given to Warrington Photographic Society as a print lecture following completion of the printing in the darkroom. As with the Bangkok lecture, I have now digitally scanned all the images and re-processed them. The lecture covers locations in Thailand outside of Bangkok which includes Phuket, Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai and then the rice fields and villages of Phrae, Denchai and Pong Pawai. whilst some of the locations are tourists hot spots, there are also images taken in the more rural areas and villages.

The digital lecture is now available for booking, please use the contact page. The lecture will also be available via the PAGB and LCPU lecture system.

WARRINGTON PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY - LANTERN SLIDES

Warrington Photographic Society has a collection of historical lantern slides which date back to 1890s. The collection contains over a thousand images and these have all been scanned digitally for easier projection. There are currently two lectures available on the lantern slides which have been very popular since 2007. I also have an going project to identify and locate some of the images and produce modern comparisons.
